Labor Day is around the corner. If you plan to grill, try these recipes to surprise your family and friends.

GRILLED LEMON CHICKEN

Lemony chicken breasts grilled to perfection.

INGREDIENTS

6 chicken cutlets
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
salt and pepper
olive oil

DIRECTIONS

1) Mix lemon juice, salt, pepper, and any other spices you would like. Rub chicken cutlets with the mixture and let sit in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.

2) Grill on medium-high until juices run clear after piercing the chicken with a fork.

GRILLED BBQ SHRIMP

Bacon-wrapped shrimp, hot off the grill? Is there anything better?

INGREDIENTS

20 shrimp, shelled and deviened
1/2 pound bacon, cut in half
1/2 cup BBQ sauce, divided
bamboo skewers, soaked in water

DIRECTIONS

1) Cook bacon halfway, then transfer to a paper towel to cool.

2) Wrap each shrimp in one slice of bacon, and slide onto skewer. Each skewer can hold up to five shrimp.

3) Grill over medium heat until shrimp starts to turn pink. Baste with half of the BBQ sauce, and cook for a couple minutes more, or until sauce is set.

4) Serve with the other half of BBQ sauce for dipping.

GRILLED HONEY PINEAPPLE

A great dessert prepared right on the grill!

INGREDIENTS

1 large pineapple
honey

DIRECTIONS

1) Peel pineapple and cut into large chunks, as shown in the photograph.

2) Glaze pineapple chunks with honey.

3) Grill on medium for about 5 minutes, turning often, or until slightly golden brown.
