Kick Back, Relax, and Enjoy These Thirst-Quenching Coolers |
Mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, long car trips, playing ball, and other sports can make you hot and thirsty. It may take a while for you to realize the extent of your thirst. Suddenly, you crave a tall, cool beverage -- something not too sweet and not too sour. What can you have? These quick and easy coolers will quench your thirst.

Orange-Cranberry Cooler
1 large can frozen orange juice
1 large can frozen light cranberry juice
1 large can frozen apple juice
1 thinly sliced orange
Prepare juices in separate pitchers according to directions. Combine four cups orange juice, four cups cranberry juice, and two cups apple juice in another pitcher. Stir well. Pour over ice and garnish with orange slices.
Raspberry Limeade
1 large can frozen limeade
1/2 cup sugar-free seedless raspberry jam
1/2 pint fresh raspberries
Prepare limeade according to directions. Put raspberry jam in a glass measuring cup. Heat jam in microwave until melted (about 30 seconds). Stir melted jam into limeade. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh raspberries.
Front Porch Cooler
1 large can frozen orange juice
2 cups prepared, sugar-free iced tea mix
1 cup ginger ale
fresh mint
Prepare orange juice according to directions. Add prepared iced tea to juice. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
Tropical Breeze
1 cup pineapple juice
1 1/4 cups white grape juice
2 cups carbonated water
1 pint raspberry sherbet
pineapple slices
Combine pineapple juice, white grape juice, and carbonated water in pitcher. Put a scoop of raspberry sherbet into each glass. Fill with punch and garnish with fresh pineapple.
Grape Lemonade
1 large can frozen light grape juice
1 large can frozen lemonade
1 thinly sliced lemon

Prepare grape juice and lemonade in separate pitchers according to directions. Put ice in glasses. Fill glasses half-way with lemonade. Top with grape juice and garnish with lemon slices.
Mocha Iced Coffee
6 cups of strong coffee, cooled
6 tablespoons light chocolate syrup
1 pint low-fat vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
fat-free, sugar-free whipped topping
Get out six glasses and put two ice cubes in each one. Drop a scoop of ice cream onto the cubes. Drizzle ice cream with one tablespoon of chocolate syrup. Fill glasses with coffee and garnish with a dollop of whipped topping.
